The concept for ALL MY TOMORROWS began in January 2013, two months after the death of Martha’s beloved husband, Brian Brooks. A song dropped from the portals of Heaven into her dreams and got her out of bed to find out who was the lyricist — Sammy Cahn. That song, an anthem to lifelong love, is ALL THE WAY. She spent the next several months talking over ideas and choosing from a lovely array of Sammy’s songs with pianist Jeff Presslaff. His fresh and beautiful arrangements then found their way into their concert, a tribute to Sammy Cahn, recorded live at the TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival. Rounding out their highly simpatico quartet are Steve Hamilton on bass and Rob Siwik on drums. This is an album that will melt your hearts.
